A former helicopter pilot in the French Military ALAT (Aviation Légère de
l'Armée de Terre), then a bush pilot in Northern Canada, Dominic left the
excitement of a pilot's career for a quieter life with his family. Since he
always enjoyed drawing, he replaced the joystick with a pen and published
educational cartoons for children, newspaper comics and cartoons for
business advertising and seminars. He was trained at the Ottawa School of
Art and has an experience in commercial art, classical animation and
television animation. For his paintings, he uses acrylic and works in any
format from miniatures to murals. He first started to paint for pleasure. Now
he finds it just as exciting as flying!
No artist can be inspired without a muse.
My muse is the faithful wife I married for time
and eternity in the Washington temple of the
Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints in
1978. Her love and support gives me the
inspiration that helps me in my art.
